Zeolite can be used over and over, as it will maintain it’s shape over years. When the Zeolitebecomes full, regeneration is necessary. You can regenerate the Zeolite using the following methods:
Solar or Heat Regeneration This method is the easiest. Simply lay the Zeolite in Sunshine or a high heat area for 8-12 hours. Then replace.
Salt Water Regeneration Filters can be regenerated by mixing up a bucket of salt water and pouring into filter. Let the salt solution set for up to 12 hours. Backwash the filter for at least 5 minutes. The Zeolite will be recharged and returned to it’s original filtration.
